Not all of them though, just a few. Some of this dignity we’ve heard about has been on show to:
“Anyone who thinks the SPL wont be affected is kidding themself. Time for Gers to show their stuff and work their way back up” – aye okay dear, calm yersel.
“As a Gers fan I’m happy, punishment dished out, punishment taken. Glad that’s over with, now we know where we stand, Div 3 it is, good. Let’s get on with the football. Now then, I just need Charles Green to give details of the fans’ share scheme & I’ll be more than happy to participate” – much more in line with reality
Now that the direction of Sevco has been eliminated from the agenda, and not before time, I would like to see Doncaster and Regan eliminated from Scottish football. This comedy act has contributed little to Scottish football and the bells are chiming for their exit.
For a long time I always imagined fresh input from ‘outsiders’ would help develop the game in Scotland. It would seem that like US Presidents, it’s the men behind the curtain who rule the madness of the Scottish game – these two punters are merely court jesters.
There is a requirement in Scotland to better ourselves and that goes for our football. We cannot become better if we don’t change our ways.
The club who once lived at Ibrox are dead and nothing will bring them back. Sevco are a new club and will start where all new clubs deserve to start – at the bottom.
These ‘wonder’ plans to change Scottish football are nothing more than a childs drawing done with chubby crayons. The SPL was supposed to be a way forward but even that has been a real hash.
Each time a plan has been pledged by the footballing bodies, it has been lame. The fans and the clubs are closer to agreeing an idea and they are the ones who have to agree to it so why not just listen to them?
SPL, SFA and SFL need to be one unit. Of all the league format’s that I have read over the years, none of them have come from our ruling bodies.
The RFC saga that has engulfed our game has been an embarrassment to Scotland and our sport. Swift action has not been demonstrated by the now defunct club or any of our football authorities.
For that simple reason the latter should be eliminated from our lives along with the dead club. Our fans, the paying customers and the clubs should have all the input that is required.
There are too many chiefs in Scottish football and the indians want their scalps. Time for them to make way for a better league and a better TV deal but they are not welcome at our table.
SPL2 is a disasterous idea which we have been subjected to in the name of bringing Sevco into play asap. That’s is all our SPL and SFA care about it and it is always wil be.
